Hindi ko na alam kung alin yung nauna. Yung lack of self-confidence ko ba or everyone’s lack of confidence in me. Okay I wanna disappear.
Minsan nakakapagod na ring mangarap. Oo, masarap mangarap. Pero minsan pag puro panaginip at pangarap na lang ang mayroon ka, hindi mo na alam kung alin yung totoo. Hindi mo na rin alam kung alin doon ang mararating mo.
I had a friend in grade school. She had this cool pen which had a bubble-blowing thingy on one side and a pink stamping thingy on the other. Of course, I asked her where she bought it. So the bratinella in her answered: “Secret.”
Days later I found out that her mom got it from a Chinoy-owned store in front of the public market. Okay.
Trust me, that kid I was talking about is still a brat at 22. Out of college, stable career, etc - but she’s still a brat.
I wonder if the kids of today still get to experience those things. You see, pens and other “real” toys gave us bragging rights back then.
Siguro ngayon, the kids at school would say…
Kid1: Oy look at my new toy, it’s an iPhone (insert version here)
Kid2: Duh. My daddy already preordered a (yet to be released gadget) na kaya for me.
Also: I’m really scared of what’s in store for me and my kid in the future. I’d rather raise a spoiled brat than raise a kid who hates life because her mom couldn’t even afford to feed her.
So yeah uhm. :|
Ang hirap magpanggap na bahagi ako ng pamilya nyo. After 22 years mahigit hindi pa rin ako makasakay sa trip nyo. I guess you never really accepted me.
Oh wait. I don’t really belong anywhere.
